Voz Hispana Cambio Comunitario

Voz Hispana Cambio Comunitario (VHCC) develops and prepares leaders at the grassroots level to become active participants in creating a more just, democratic system in Oregon. VHCC believe that empowering those who are among the most vulnerable in the community to become agents of positive change will result in stronger communities that are able to provide opportunities for all residents, regardless of age, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, religion or immigration status.

IMIrJ: Interfaith Movement for Immigrant Justice 

We are a coalition of individuals, faith leaders and diverse faith communities called by our conscience to respond actively and publicly to the suffering of our immigrant brothers and sisters in the U.S. Through advocacy and outreach, we educate the community about the injustices current immigration policies inflict on the entire community and we provide real opportunities to take action for change. Just as we open our hearts to provide welcome and accompaniment to people facing persecution and oppression, we open our doors to offer Sanctuary for immigrants faced with family separation.

Don’t Shoot Portland

Our organizational work and activism, including direct community education workshops, support the outreach of our continued advocacy as first respondents and has helped community members contribute through direct engagement and legislative value.

Environmental Professionals of Color

EOPC Network is a growing community of leaders of color across the USA at work on a vast array of critical environmental issues, from habitat conservation to environmental justice to upstream public health. There is a Portland chapter.

The purpose of this group, is to create a space where we all have a common goal, to see a change happen. I’d love to see this group grow into something bigger than us, to be a support system. I want us to push peaceful gatherings, facilitate discussions, and encourage bringing our Facebook interactions, into real life.
Milenio is an organization that facilitates the involvement of Latinos at all levels of public decision-making and politics. Milenio strives to improve education outcomes, advocate for immigration reform, incarceration, woman rights, LGBT rights, political innovation and engage diverse sectors of the community in the political sector. Our organization conducts analysis to inform, influence, promote and engage diverse sectors of the Latino community, with an understanding that advancing Latinos advances a shared future.
The oldest continually operated Civil Rights organization in Oregon, The Albina Ministerial Alliance Coalition for Justice & Police Reform works to assure oversight to the Portland Police Bureau.

We work to connect people in the Portland area while also supporting and collaborating with national racial justice organizing efforts.
